Do you know the distance in miles between Snap Lake and the ak, what the topography is like, what sort of road-building material is onsite (I would doubt there's much gravel, you'd have to shoot rock).

Walt or George told us the distance upthread, we were discussing roads before.
It's not easy or cheap up there to build a road, and even when it's built your hauling costs are likely at least double what they would be for a comparable distance along the 49th parallel. Or that's my impression, anyway, having known a few guys who logged in Northern BC.

But $300/ton ore will just find its way to a mill somehow, some way. .. cheers ... macros
