I like it for some other reasons. I'd like to have an avenue to trade NYSE without going through the slow Superdot. I would also like to be able to trade NYSE stocks pre/post market without having to pick up the phone to try to trade them at great expense on Instinet. This will be good. It puts the specialist out of business who has access to all the order flow, all the information about supply/demand and all without any competition. Competition will fix inefficiences at the NYSE real quick. The slowness of Superdot and knowing that I'm trying to trade against somebody that has ALL the order flow information is like trying to trade against a stacked deck. I won't trade NYSE stocks currently because of that. The slowness of Superdot tells me that specialists engage in past posting--waiting to see in which hole the ball falls before filling or killing orders instead of filling the orders right when they are placed. Its a BS system.
