Doug, Thanks for the sleuthing on CERA. I was not aware of the tentacles you describe. Very interesting stuff. I first became aware of Daniel Yergin through the PBS series "The Prize". Subsequently I read the book and found it quite informative and entertaining. But I didn't regard it as a propaganda piece. That's why I was so surprised when the mini-series "Commanding Heights" was aired on PBS. pbs.org The opening page claims to want to educate about globalization. After having seen the series, I think the unabashed goal of Daniel Yergin was to promote a propagandistic orgy of self-congratulation for the despicable and self-serving corporate elites who have foisted an immoral and unjustifiable trade regime upon a planet that does not deserve to be so raped. Yergin is a total apologist for the meanest and most absurd excesses of the corporate elite. He's a court stenographer for the new and ruthless corporate aristocracy. As a foil for Yergin's failed humanity and sense of morality, I find Lori Wallach of Public Citizen's Trade Watch unit to be a superb lawyer, writer and human being: citizen.org
