Silverado gets downright folksy with this news announcement about the Nolan Mine, way up yonder. Note the sea animal reference in the text.

With the winter underground program coming to an end for the season, the crew will continue work for approximately two more weeks and then seal off the tunnel entrance to prevent inflow of warm summer air in order to preserve the underground development workings for next winter's gold bearing gravel extraction. This winter's work marks the end of the current development phase. Gold recovery will take place this summer and gold bearing gravel extraction will begin again in October 2006.

In the meantime, water ponds will be cut and gold recovery equipment will be up-graded as we get ready to process the stockpiled gold bearing gravel and bedrock beginning when the water runs around mid June. The project is running substantially under budget.

We look forward to good gold recoveries and to good results from summer drilling. The drilling is designed to delineate further gold bearing gravel for extraction next winter.

Our plan is to operate year round for many years to come on this extensively mineralized and famous historic gold mine.
