It's weird that the Pentium II 450 MHz should sell for more than the Pentium III
450 MHz. However, if the Celeron is killing off the Pentium III, can you explain
why the Celeron isn't killing off the Pentium II?


I have a hard time believing this myself, but maybe it's Y2K. Paul Otellini said PII would be kept in production longer than it might have been, because some customers were leery of introducing anything new into their shops this close to New Years Eve. PII may have been tested more for Y2K lice. Could actually be playing out?
