Cash provided by operations was $14.3 million for the first nine months of fiscal 1999 compared to, $3.4 million for the first nine months of fiscal 1998. The increase of $10.9 million was primarily due to the net income of $12.1 million in the first nine months of fiscal 1999 compared to the net loss of $37.2 million in the first nine months of fiscal 1998 coupled with a significant decline in accounts payable and accrued liabilities.

Accounts receivable increased in the third quarter of fiscal 1999, from the third quarter of 1998, primarily due to increased sales levels in the third quarter of fiscal 1999. The increase in sales and accounts receivable can be attributed to the launch of the Company's latest versions of WordPerfect and CorelDraw in the second quarter of 1999.
