The numbers I was using came from post 8033 of this thread where this years sales of total chip manufacturing systems will be ca. 30 billion, and estimating AMATs sales of ca. 3.5 billion. I think that one will get conflicting data as to precise market share depending upon how you define "chip manufacturing equipment". I have a feeling that the 30 billion number may have also included costs that are not really chip equipment (i.e., clean rooms, etc.). If this is so, then AMATs share will be larger and I stand corrected.
