Dan Scovel, Needham & Company

He likes the semiconductor area, it represents good opportunity.

It is very cyclical.

Wall Street is trying to guess the top.

Things are very strong as far as the eye can see, at least into 2002, when there might be a slowdown.

Business is very good thight now.

When things are as good as they are now, the next thing to happen is a downturn, but the question is when.

We are not in 1st or 9th inning of the up cycle.

Look for end market softness or general economic malaise as early indicators of a down turn.

Chip sales are a lagging indicator.

INTC is a good bell weather view into what happens in a wide variety of companies.

Stock Picks:

AMD: good opportunity, they are competing with INTC successfully for about a year,

CY: target price is double the current trading price, good opportunity

ALSC: smaller static ram and dram house, very successful investor having over $1B in assets.
