Iceberg, with AMAT near its All-time High, majority of shareholders can sell at a profit and move on to other investments at will. Many of them, including those Big Guys (holding lots of shares), have been unloading, taking their time selling little by little so as not to depress the price and cut their profits. The buyers meanwhile, who think that the stock is headed higher and are willing to wait for a year or so to take profits are pleasantly buying but being careful also not to drive the stock higher that will result in their having less shares for their money. The summer doldrums is still with us but maybe on Monday, we are going to notice a change as we enter Fall...

Who knows, the Big Guys who are going to move the stock higher to New All-Time Highs may come back Monday or another day. With the tools we have like Island Quotes, the site Gottfried discovered and Posted, and other tools or means like monitoring the ticker tape on CNBC--- we might be on hand to meet the Big Guys and follow their lead. The volume of the trade, of course will tell us if the trade is done by the small fry or the Big Guy...

An example is when in summer 1996, as Analyst upon Analyst appeared on CNBC telling the Investors to sell the stock, the stock instead was slowly heading higher---as Block trades of 10k to 100k appeared on the Ticker Tape running below the Images of said Analysts on TV...Afterwards, the Analysts were proved Wrong and the Big Guys, along with the small fry that followed them---leisurely watched the stock march Upwards from then on!...
