All...just a slight history regarding my position in INTEL.

Intel was the first stock I have ever purchased, in June of 1996 @78 just right before the 6% correction. At the time, I was hoping that it will reach 90 by the end of the year. At the time of purchase, the story on Intel was pretty much neutral. Some wall st people would say...buy intel because it's undervalued, others would say...sell.."computer tech will take a steep down turn in the second half of 96". My thought was geez...that's like saying no one is going to buy computers for a while and just couldn't imagine that happening anytime soon ( I got into computers in summer of 95 and I am now glued to this damn thing 8 hrs a day) and since intel chips went into 85 percent of computers in the world....the worst scenario would be, sooner or later it will sell lots of chips again (if that crazy lady in Money Magazine who predicted the downfall of Intel was right).
Seeing that the risk to reward ratio was good...I went ahead and bought it.

Today...what can I say ? OH MY GOD...Intel is at 148 and probably will rise somewhere. Shocked is an understatement...well...not really after reading many posts here on SI and discovered the true value of Intel.

I hope I didn't bore you all with my little story. I posted for one main reason...for some of the new investors in Intel to see what a great company it is and the extreme bright future it has no matter how many bumps we encounter on the road.

Joe
