Habit: isn't collectivism state sponsored versus private sector. as for your suggestion of outlawing unions. knee jerk. it will correct itself thats where i think our system works best, sometimes it takes a long time to play out. look at union membership over last 50 years. by the way. take away the tax exempt status of unions since they politick and you will see a quicker demise of unions.
