Bald one, it's because the analysts keep changing firms. When they get to the new firm, they "initiate coverage", but in reality no one has changed their mind or formed a new opinion. The ones the other day - was it Morgan Stanley? - were issued by an analyst that covered the same companies at Cowen & Co. BTW, it looks like the market is getting concerned about what might be hiding behind the big note sale announcement at AMZN. Anybody know any offshore investors that might get a look at the deal? Even the mighty YHOO gave back this morning's gains. Bob
