Despite the pre-game rules that the election would be won by he who scored the most points in various states with the winner announced on Nov 14 after allowing 7 days for objections, Mr Gore continued to protest.
He has said, screw the Election laws, we can change that
they are not laws, they are merely rules- and he had the Supreme Court change them.
The Supreme Court in charge then said the revised election would end on Nov 26 after 12 more days of objection.
And Mr Gore said after again losing -screw the Supreme Court law, we can avoid that by counting, and counting, and recounting beyond measure and beyond time.
We will count blank ballots, we will count until the ballots are unreadable and create new ones to replace those,
we will place Bush ballots in the Gore piles, and count the pile.
And after that if our own Democratically controlled
Canvasing boards cannot count enough, we will throw out the absenteee ballots and recount again.
Now you ask that one man, appointed by a court, recount 1.1 million votes? Thats not a legal count , Mr Gore.
You are out of time.
I think you will find that 7 fine ladies and gentlemen
In Florida, and 9 Justices in the US Supreme Court, and members of the Texas Legislature will have to tell you the game is over, the law applies equally to you and all other citizen.
You continue to state your commitment to do what is right for the country. That seems to be to ignore the laws as now written and to see no other person than yourself in the White House even if you have to change the laws to do that. And then you quote the Law as your right to do that? What gives you the right to change the law?
I have to stop here, I am getting confused. Too many lawyers can do that
