Please, don't speak about tax rates with Italians... We pay an average 50% of taxes on anything else than stoks :( Moreover the VAT rate here is 19%. The fact that we don't pay taxes on capital gains is due to the fact that the Italian economic is going down and down and the only thing we could do with stocks here is ... losing money. That's why the govern does not impose taxes on capital gain... because there are no gains in the Italian stock market ;) Ciao ViVi P.S. take it easy, drink a good Italian coffe ;)
