Nadine opines on Palin ... The key to Palin hatred is fear. Progressives fear her as a candidate. They secretly estimate her candidate potential even higher than Republicans do, because she has everything that would make her perfect as a Progressive candidate, if only she were progressive: looks, charisma, athleticism, speaking ability, ability to connect with people and enthuse a base, culturally diverse background, being a woman who has it all, etc, etc. Obama and Palin share many qualities. The shared qualities are precisely those which made the Democrats pick Obama as a candidate, despite his inexperience. I don't think Palin is so much "Obama by Proxy" as "the other team's Obama".
