night, i like the eagles b/c my friend is an eagles nut and we hang out on a lot of sundays (and i mean NUT!). i'm from seattle so i was disappointed they didn't make the playoffs, but love their chances tomake the playoffs next year. i did time in the bay area and loved the old niners, but not interested in the new niners. my latest hometown team just picked up a bad coach and i expect another losing season.

yes, i did vote for the patriots in the superbowl, got 14 points and didn't need 'em! ;-)

you know why? i like underdogs and i dislike arrogance beyond arrogance. we discussed this before so this is nothing new...

my buddy thinks the eagles win it all next year. i think this rams loss makes the rams better next year for the experience (and i see another meeting and a tough game, your 30 point win predictions notwithstanding ;-). who knows who the darkhorse is next year (seattle? ;-)

how much you wanna bet they aren't talking about *amazing themselves* during the playoffs next year? this is a good thing for the rams and bad for the league come next year, imho. no guarantee they win it all, but they will compete with the best.

i bet the rams fans are a bit more respectful of their opponents, too. :-)

no disrespect intended. win or lose (and we all mostly see our team lose eventually! (so we shouldn't bask in the losses of other teams when we have difficulty handling our own losses, should we? ;-), football is a great game and past time and st louis has a great team. adversity brings out greatness in great players.

ps - a LOT comes down to luck, anyway - no matter how good you are. the bucs were robbed 2 years ago (maybe it makes a difference, maybe not - all fans were cheated out of knowing for sure). the raiders this year (it DID make a difference!). even the rams got some bad (no)calls - i thought warner got popped in the face on the pick for a td. isn't that a penalty? again, maybe it makes a difference, maybe not.

heck, a lot of eagles fans saw pass interference on the rams int. i would need to see a replay to make upmy own mind, but it really doesn't matter, does it?

next year will be a fun one :-)
