There are a lot of people leaving companies for new opportunities at this time. There are many opportunities out there, some weeks i have 30 or more calls for new job prospects. Startups have become very hot and are attracting a lot of people with the hope of getting stock options that will skyrocket when the company goes public. I am also seeing a lot of people taking new jobs for pay increases of 25% plus at established companies. The smart and aggressive people are using the continuing economic uptrend and shortage of professional people to improve their lot. I don't know why the CFO left at this time, but i would be inclined to believe that everything is ok and he is just looking out for number 1.
