The whole rebif/avonex battle was hardly a contest of one superior product over another as you put forth. Both Serono and Biogen are guilty of PR science on this one and should be ashamed. Serono's claim of superiority is suspect and Biogen's vigorous defense of orphan status against a potentially improved treatment does not endear it to patients. it is an ugly episode.
