Basically the tax loss selling (a large one?) season will occur from now to 3 days before new year. If January effect is to happen, then some buying opportunity is yet to come. However, 1996 January effect never happened, because last year market makers did not have any over bought condition. With the money pouring into the mutual funds, how can market makers have over bought now. The short interests in New York stock exchange and Nasdag just keep on going higher.
