I spoke with the CFO. He didn't elaborate on the lawsuit other to say it was from a small shareholder. It was more or less a courtesy call but here are some other points we covered:

Fourth Quarter/1997 year end results should be out at month end. As expected, there will be a loss. (I guess this means the quarter also)

As mentioned in the 3rd quarter statements, the company is shifting its focus to the service sector. This is a work in progress and a sector that won't grow overnight.

Gross margin should continue to improve. All inventory write-offs should now be complete (in 1997).

He confirmed DuPont is still invested.

To my obnoxious inquiry if "everyone was happy, you know, optimistic about the future"? he said that yes, they believed in their strategy and it just needed to play out.

I asked if 98 had gotten off to a good start and he just gave a robot reply such as "We continue to shift our focus to the service side of the business".

I thanked him for his call. He said they handle IR in house and that's why you don't see a lot of press releases.

I plan to work on my interview skills.
