Very accurate.

Early in a bear market, I hate having company on a short. But as the bear market starts to gain momentum, heavily shorted positions are less worrisome,.... primarily because the financial conditions that attract a large short interest (lack of profits, heavy debt, poor sales, etc.) tend to acquire critical mass more rapidly in an unwinding economy.

Also, shorts inevitably do better homework (they have to, given the much higher costs that accrue when the research is not accurate). (g)
