The free trade issue is about the issue that the benefits of free trade should accrue to everyone

and generally they do

If it is really free trade then let consumers reap the benefits also.

1 - Customers do reap the benefits of drug research.

2 - Its no a truly free trade situation whether or not you let the Canadian drugs in, because Canada controls the prices of the drugs.

Let the market decide, right?

I'm fine with that. More than fine, its what I want. But it would require a change in policy in Canada.

Your arguments about the smoking issue are in fact only in defense of capital. All you care about is the bar owner and the "infringements" on his ownership rights. That is not charitable, it is self serving.

People with capital shouldn't have their rights taken away just because they have capital. And bar owner often don't have a ton of it anyway.

As for self serving? What a ridiculous statement. I don't own a bar, or have any relationship of any significance with any bar owner.

Infringement in this case doesn't need the quote. Its real infringement.
