****TO ALL **** I just got back from vacation and read the threads since 12/20/96. It took more than 3 hours and what an eye opener.
First, Shawn may very well be on vacation, G-d's gift to the novice investor, or John Dillinger re-incarnated. It doesn't matter and the profits made (>50%) also does not matter. Please remember the immortal words of Bernard Baruch who said, "I attribute my wealth to the misfortune of not buying my investments soon enough when they were low and not selling them late enough when they were higher in value."

Anyone that makes greater than 20% gain in less than a week should take the money and run. These do not come along that often and we are foolish to beleive any one investment will make us rich beyond our wildest dreams. One step at a time and don't look back if you make a profit. I bailed too soon on CSGI but made a profit.

Off the soap box now.

Many of the "dissenters" have valid points and comments. They should not be chased away. They provide the necessary balance for the novice investor when they point to the negative aspects or raise a flag. This will undoubtedly help the novice to exit an investment a little sooner , re-evaluate their investments, and provide them with a silent conscience. In the end they become a little wiser (given recent events).

However, we have drifted away from the purpose of this thread. Short term stock picks. Provide the picks, the price of the picks, and a target price. Let all of us create our own scorecard, do DD, and make our own decisions. No hype, no raising sell prices, no I told you so.

Does anyone want to summarize the list of picks on this thread into one spreadsheet or column format with the stock picker name, date, initial buy price, target price and present price so we can track all these juicy stocks?

Finally, for those of you interested in semiconductor IC or equipment related stocks, please look at my thread "General Lithography" and feedback to me whether this is the type of technical information you are interested in. Please do not take any information as being a hype or recommendation. All I would like is constructive feedback on this new thread. I am not looking for new readership.

Also, would it be too much to ask to have similar information posted on this thread for the stocks that are being discussed. I would appreciate some background info with the picks presented here.
