Bret Hume is going to cover the Kerry/Viet Nam story tonight.

The missing VVAW cache
POWERLINE

Here's the link to Thomas Lipscomb's page-one New York Sun story on the friendly working relationship between Hanoi and John Kerry's Vietnam Veterans Against the War group: "Hanoi approved of role played by antiwar vets." nysun.com In response to our inquiry about the article this morning, Lipscomb writes:

[The story] has been zooming around ever since [it was published yesterday]…I think you will see why when you read it.

I have been asked to go on Brit Hume’s show tonight.

The story is important because while there has been all sorts of speculation and even false information about how Hanoi felt about Kerry’s VVAW… this is the FIRST time we have an actual opportunity to READ how they felt and what their game plan was in their own words.

It shows that somehow they had an intimate knowledge of VVAW activities…and that the VVAW was carrying out Hanoi’s plan for how to influence America to agree to the Madame Binh proposal. And finally that Hanoi was using the Paris Peace talks to meet with groups like the VVAW and give them "assistance and guidance."
