Skeets, I've heard of Arnott. I think he was on one of the morning shows as resident quacker. <g> But I haven't heard or read his diet. I tend not read diet books as most of them are scams and if they have any good, new ideas, they can be summarized in a paragraph. I talk about Volumetrics, but I never read the book. I just looked at Clarence Bass's summary on his site and realized that that was pretty much what I was doing anyway.
The real problem with diet books is that everyone is different. Some differences, such as lactose intolerance or allergies to various grains, are pretty obvious. But I think there are many more that are harder to notice. My philosophy is that your body will tell you when your diet is right. If you are getting faster, stronger, sleeping better, seeing lower blood pressure, blood sugar and resting pulse rates, etc., the odds are you are eating a diet that is right for you. If any of those things are going the opposite direction, it may not be the fault of your diet, but that is certainly one place to look.
Basically, I believe that if you eat what is there in nature, and learn about poison mushrooms early on <g>, you will usually do o.k. |
