If AMD picks up HPQ and SUN, AMD will have access to more than half the tier 1 OEM market for multiprocessor (4-way and above) servers.

If AMD is really able to publicly demonstrate a 4-way Hammer server at Computex... The sky's the limit - this would be a pull in of nearly a year compared to what Intel was expecting as recently as 6 months ago, and would be confirmation that the "glueless logic" multiprocessor design of Sledgehammer works. A "glueless logic" architecture substantially increases performance while dramatically cutting costs (if it can be made to work!).

This would give AMD a fundamental design advantage over Intel in a second major semi segment (the first being mirror-bit in the flash market).
