Norman,
Where is the URL- I do not see one. As far as Intel goes I am hearing that
the Auburn chip has been delayed until mid Q1 98. The first Auburn product
is for high end work stations from what I understand. This first
product does not compete with S3. The first real threat from a Intel
graphics chip will be for back to school 98.

The first sign of bad news and all the nay sayers come out of the
woodwork and jump on the bandwagon. S3 is not the only one this happens
to. I watch the Intel thread and when Compaq and Cyrix announced
the low end PC the sparks did fly.

As far as the Buckingham guys, wow they lower the year estimate by
a whole penny. If you take the Robbie Stevens estimate and the
Buckingham estimate you get between 35% and 40% growth for 97.
$1.28 x 17 PE = $22. per share. If we got at decent PE ratio of
20 or 25 we would have a $25 -$32 stock. I don't know of many
companies growing at 35-40% trading at this piss poor multiple.
1998 estimates range from $1.59 - $1.70 = around a $35-$40 stock.

As for the long term treat of Intel, that is certainly a concern
when they finally release the product but by then the market goes to
110 million chips from 27 million. S3 is also diversifying into
other markets with new products.Graphics will be about 50% of revenues.
GROG - Go S3
PS - Semis down today but S3 holding its own. FWIW
PSS - Regarding the Intel will this first products be for desktop
only?
