Hi all,

I went to the Internet Show in NY yesterday. I got an opp to see the WaveTop technology and speak briefly to the business dev mgr. Very impressive. The technology looks great! They have done a nice jon in structuring the data so that it's pleasing to the eye and easy to navigate thru. I asked the business mgr who he felt his competition is at this point and he believes it could be the cable co (if they ever get their act together). I also asked him about Intel's Intercast technology and he said Wavo had licensed that tech to Intel, therefore Intercast was based on Wavo's technonlogy. Can anyone else confirm this. These guys have done a pretty good job of lining some major content providers and advertisers. They also have the backing of MSFT and since they'll be bundled with win98, they have the ultimate distribution channel. They are dependant upon ad revenue, so booking advertisers is key to their success.

Finally, I also asked about WebTV and was told that they are still in discussion, although nothing has been agreed to. The WebTV folks have their hands full with other issues at the moment. I'm still hoping they can lock this one up as well.

Overall, I was very impressed, now if I only had some more funds to invest ... ;-)
