OT/Media will continue attack on the oil biz & take it from there...

During the campaign a fav spin given more air time than if the media were unbiased was to present Bush as a tool of the big oil companies. So, if Bush becomes President, although you can expect them (as is usual media practice) to lay the ground work, after a few months they will attempt to blame Bush at the very least by lumping him with the already demonized oil industry.

In any case, it's certainly not too late to experience an epiphany with regard to media bias(g).

Particularly with regard to the NY based TV networks, IMO they have always been the key to liberal influence over pubic opinion.

I'd not suggesting anyone become an ultra conservative. I'm a moderate conservate and disagree strongly with the hard right on MANY issues. In addition, the concept of press bias is NOT an ultra conservative idea. It's simple common sense that has been buttressed by many academic studies that whoever controls the airwaves dominates the political debate. One of my fav undergraduate courses, formation of Public Opinion in the 20th century, was taught by a moonlighting prof from Princeton and covered these issues in some detail.

In no case has a single party become dominant in a country (whether that party was on the right OR on the left) without control of the press and media.

When you make your decision, the welcome matt will be out for you to join us moderate conservatives.
