thankyou rudedog: you certainly seem to have your brain right in the middle of what is happening...in my just post to lee 81344, can you see what is bothering me?...i am somewhat reaching back to my experiences at Arthur D. Little, and at Stanford Research Institute, where i was working in think tank type environments...i remember very clearly the enormous progress both in quality and speed, that occurred primarily by just the right combination of forces...as you just said, now is the time for Dell to be making some internal changes if there need to be...the price they pay for not making the right moves, is way down the line, when it is too late...of course, IF the huge amounts of money stay even partially with the internuts, we all know that that will attract a substantial number of brilliant minds....conceptually, some day Dell could have part of its internet interface, with say, amazon...the search engines have never really interested me...it was not until the amazon people moved to seattle, and their focus on product delivery, that i became interested...I HOPE I AM REACHING FOR SOME CONCERN that is not too off topic...if it is, i would not at all mind receiving pm on this current obsession of mine... |
