Olduvai5, I think you are correct, but have you checked CPU prices lately? Someone posted on the CYRX thread that a computer manufacturer in Taiwan will be manufacturing a $350 system (no monitor). 1 year ago similar technology would have cost $1500-2000. I guess the rational is "less chips+same functionality = less cost, therefore less profit margin!" If this is true then the expensive CPU manufacturers will be hurt soon due to decreasing margins and volume sales by inexpensive competitors. Regards, BB
