Ish,

That story reminds me of the time once when I was driving into work and I saw a doe and her fawn grazing near the roadside. This was in a wooded area and very close to a RR crossing. I slowed down to watch and the mother bolted but the fawn stayed near the road, then the mother froze in her tracts. The fawn never would move until I got out my car and "shoo-ed" it along (it was very small, still covered with spots) once it got a 'safe' distance the doe cautiously approached her fawn and retrieved it. I just stood and watch them slowly saunter into the woods.
