jim: < msft own version of java, so they do not have to deal with sun> along those lines, i want to add the thought that this group of suits and appeals is going to do nothing but make microsoft much stronger, and certainly much more careful about their internal communications...imaging an even stronger msft team---my thought also about dell; it is far better never to be complacent about, for example,saying that dell should be valued more as an internet company...i would much rather say, how can dell make sure that they can always compete with the absolute best of the internets..this constant feeling of paranoia, is, of course, what andy grove wrote his book about...although i didn't get much out of the entire book, the title and basic message is what i would recommend for dell AND FOR THIS THREAD...THE THREAD IS NOT A PUBLIC RELATIONS ARM OF DELL COMPUTER...as i said in an earlier post today, i am really fed up with any eforts to drag along shareholders who obviously i would not want to have with me in my own business, during any difficult time...please, if you would, read my post earlier today..i am now involved in taking care of someone, and must go...thank you for "listening". |
