I think we're supposed to pay the tax we didn't pay (honor system) on our state income tax form. More likely a Use Tax Form but it is the honor system. So... I have no idea where the merchandise is coming from that gets sold on ebay, but I won't shop retail any more for stuff like computers when I can get it new in a closed package with a warranty at an auction. Much of the merchandise is coming from the factory. Many of the vendors have no overhead and the prices are extremely reasonably on Ebay. I see a lot of gross margins in my industry of 5-10%. That is very low for the industry. That's why I think that ebay will never go away but only get stronger. The company has evolved into a place for quality products. They'll be the ones to underbid Fry's. Management is very smart too. They continue to break down the categories further to make it much easier to navigate.
