Maximum PC "Best of 99" Awards, 12/99 issue:
System of the Year: Cybermax Enthusiast AP6 650 MHz Athlon

Also, the only system reviewed is the Alienware Area 51 700 MHz Athlon system:
Area 51 is the fastest PC we've ever seen, bar none, so whouldn't the U.S. Army classify it as a "supercomputer?" We sure as hell think so. It doesn't take a paranoid FBI spook to figure out that in the face of the Area 51's burte muscle -- a 700 MHz Athlon processor augmented by the 256MB of PC133 SDRAM -- all of our system benchmarks would fall to their knees.

Even Photoshop -- which for reasons unexplained is greased for Intel's SSE extensions, but not AMD's own 3DNow! technology -- fell victim with a time lapse of 86 seconds.
