I would like to support what nick has stated. I called Nasdaq last week and was told there are no rules preventing shorting of BB stocks. I believe that stock brokers make this decision themselves. BB stocks are not marginable so you would need 100% collateral but an individual CAN short a BB stock IF (AND ONLY IF) you can find a broker that will let you. later, leroyt P.S. just bought a few shares and looking for a ride.
