Re price targets: How many "smart" people (fund managers) sold on the way up, based on valuation, only to watch as MSFT, DELL, CSCO, etc. went on and on and on.
It works the same way on the way down. There's no point in trying to catch that falling knife. There's plenty of money to be made once it bottoms and makes a base, as the same fund managers have learned with LU, TYC, WCOM, etc.
That's the biggest advantage individual investors have over funds. We can take positions quickly instead of having to average into them.
