You know, it seems to me that the internet and information technology in general have started to revolutionize politics by reducing the ammount of BS politicians can get away with. Sure, propaganda is still here, but its life span is shorter now that sources of information have become more diverse and difficult to control. Propaganda should become more and more difficult as time goes and more people get their information from more decentralized sources. If our world seems to be going through major convulsions now, I guess it is partly because a greater number of crooks / dictators / liars / are being exposed. It's a painfull process, but one that should be good in the long term.
