NEW YORK, Feb 23 (Reuters) - Volpe Brown Whelan & Co said on Monday that it raised its fiscal 1999 earnings estimate on shares of America Online Inc to $1.70 per share from $1.63 per share.

-- Analyst Derek Brown said he raised his fiscal 1999 revenue estimate by $600 million to $3.8 billion.

-- Estimate increase based on higher price AOL will charge per month for unlimited access to its service.

-- Also based on additional revenues from recently-acquired CompuServe.

-- Stock up 4-9/16 to 123-9/16.
