"It's fund buying right now, primarily technical buying," said a Sydney- based bullion trader. "Gold has built up momentum despite weakness in the euro." "Technically speaking, the market thought Friday's close was very positive," said Martin Mayne, associate director of bullion sales at NM Rothschild & Sons in Sydney.
