To All:
I'm trying to come up with an exploration in metastock... looking for these things...
1. RSI(7) last "trough" is higher than previous "trough" 2. close at last trough is lower than close at previous trough
... basically a positive divergence between price and indicator...
I've tried some different commands trying to get the right output...no good so far... here's the last scan I know it looks funny but I've tried some others and they don't seem to spit out the right results...
cola: TroughBars(1,RSI(7),5) colb: Trough(1,RSI(7),5) colc: Trough(2,RSI(7),5) filter: colA <= 2 AND colB > colC AND ValueWhen(1,colB,C) < ValueWhen(2,colB,C)
now I've tried fooling around with different values "valuewhen(x,x,c)" at the "x's" but no good so far... I tried looking at divergences between stochRSI(8,5) before this, but got the same inconsistant results... I realize that I may not be using the right command here "valuwhen" and I may not be using it right... but I've fooled around with it and I'm not sure the right way to use it... may be the "%" in the colb and colc but I'm not sure...
I'd rather use the "trough" command then to look for ... you know rsi(7),0> rsi(7),-1 and rsi(7),-2>rsi(7),-1... all that...
any help would be appreciated
