Paul,

>>>>> During the first three months of 2001, many of Asia's major economies -- including Hong Kong, South Korea and Taiwan -- reported year-on-year growth rates that were dramatically lower than rates in 2000. <<<<<

Just checked with my friends again over the weekend, and they are saying that they are not seeing any signs yet of a reversal (specificly TAIWAN and MALAYSIA). They are even suggesting that its closer to the beginning of the decline than a bottom. They also mentioned again - WATCH OUT FOR CHINA. As mentioned previously, the flow of information from CHINA is no where as fast as from other Asian countries, so its possible that once we here about problems in CHINA it may be at the extreme, rather than preliminary advice.
