You have a chain saw? Might need to cut some trees to move your car. Beer is good. More beer is better.

Been good. Cool summer with bad gardens again. Almost have a tomato. Replaced my water system, got electric fences up around the garden and orchard, repaired the fences.
I need horse manure. Used to get lots when I was working. Best I can do now is get used soil from marijuana growers, for potatoes and as mulch.

For some reason, I joined the Grange. Spent last Sunday washing dishes at the "Grange Breakfast". What have I done? People seem to think the Grange will be the key to "sustainable Laytonville".
Is it wise to base your hopes on a building (several miles from the main part of town) which is being held up only by the 3 colonies of bees living in the walls, and which will cost $100K to replace, when you only have 4K, and make maybe $400 a month on breakfasts? Oy.

The alternative is to forget that building, in which case the land will revert to the state Grange, and prolly be useless forever. Chances are it would become a giant blackberry tangle. Spent half of Sat. cutting blackberries; I think we cut 6 pick-ups full. :>)
