AQCB - AquaClara Announces Marketing & Distribution Agreement With Williams Family CLEARWATER, Fla., Mar 12, 2001 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- AquaClara Bottling & Distribution, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: AQCB) announced today a marketing and distribution agreement with South Florida's Williams family -- professional tennis players and Olympic gold medalists Venus and Serena Williams and their father, Richard Williams. The agreement establishes the new AquaClara marketing brand -- SerVen Rich (derived from "Ser"ena, "Ven"us and "Rich"ard Williams). The water features 800 percent more oxygen than ordinary water, and it is one of the purest bottled waters on the market, with purity levels equivalent to those of distilled water, but without the bland taste. "It's the water my daughters, Serena and Venus, rely on during their training," Richard Williams said. "It offers them the oxygen they need while on the court, as well as water without that bitter after taste. It's our preference." "Our primary interest has always been quality, and there's no room for compromise on quality," he added. "Because of our interest in the product's healthy benefits and understanding of athletes' needs, we wanted to develop and market our own brand." Richard Williams will act as celebrity spokesperson for the SerVen Rich brand, and SerVen Rich will be master distributors for the product. "We've finally assembled all the right players to take our message and product to the world marketplace," says Doug Cifers, Aqua Clara's Chairman of the Board. "We couldn't be more pleased." Aqua Clara's bottling and purification plant has already begun production of the water for this partnership, as well as plans for expansion -- beginning with plans for a sister plant -- to fulfill the volume of orders for the SerVen Rich brand anticipated for worldwide distribution. Shipments began leaving the Clearwater plant last week. The agreement was a culmination of meetings between Cifers, Aqua Clara President Jack Plunkett, Mr. Williams and Don Butler of SerVen Rich, Inc. "We've always known Aqua Clara water has excellent benefits for energy, health and life. We're excited that the Williamses have discovered the water's benefits and joined in our marketing and distribution plans," AquaClara President Jack Plunkett said. AquaClara's oxygenated water also has been endorsed by other celebrities, including Fox and HBO NFL commentator and former Cincinnati Bengals player Cris Collinsworth, and Larry Pendleton, President of the Florida Sports Foundation, and the Florida Department of Agriculture. In addition to distribution and marketing plans, SerVen Rich and AquaClara both plan to donate a portion of the brand's proceeds to charitable organizations, such as the Cris Collinsworth Foundation for the prevention of substance abuse; Children's Legal Aid Society which reunites kidnapped children with their parents; and the Williams family's worldwide tennis camps and alternative lifestyle programs to keep children off the streets and on the right track through sports and positive mental reinforcement. A press conference with Richard Williams, Florida Sports Foundation's Pendleton, Aqua Clara's Plunkett and Cifers, and Cris Collinsworth will be held in the next few weeks. The SerVen Rich label and distribution plans will be unveiled at that conference. Details on the press conference will be announced shortly.
