Although, if NTAP's key contribution is the software to manage the storage, NTAP's technology could be very valuable to IBM in some form of a relationship. The news release over the weekend of a new IBM storage medium with the capacity of 42 CDs on a single laptop suggest managing and delivering storage will be as important as having it. They claim the system will 4x the storage per surface unit of a disk drive when the system is ready in 18 months to 2 years. cbs.marketwatch.com GSR
