"It seems quite rational to conclude that either Citrix lacks a coherent business strategy in light of the Microsoft ruling or doesn't feel their plans should be of interest to investors."

peggylynn- Not wanting to start an argument, but I have to say I respectfully disagree. More so the part about lacking a coherent business strategy. We've posted TONS of detailed information about their stratgec plans. Not that we always understand it, but CTXS clearly is on the ball about overall product positioning.

Just take the Vertigo example. It's quite an impressive strategy and EXTREMELY difficult to follow. But that doesn't mean it's not there. Add to that the MetaFrame for UNIX project, toss on the ASP marketplace, and you see some stellar strategic moves. Even moves away from the Windows world. Quite gutsy.

Albeit, these may ultimately turn out to be wrong moves. Hindsight is always 20-20. But Citrix management certainly cannot be faulted about lack of a coherent business strategy.

Citrix has always been on the ball to take ICA opportunities to where ever it may lead them. I've always been impressed with this aspect of management. Not that I always initially understand it, but impressed nonetheless. -MikeM(From Florida)
