This is what I don't understand. You live here. Time after time the government has started programs which supposedly were going to cost x and ended up costing x+ if were lucky. More often it is x times x.

Those are the ones that are publicised. MANY, many times government programs come in under budget. And most times when they don't it's because of the private contractors doing the work.

Government does more different things than any private company would even consider doing... and mostly they do them VERY well. It the reason this country is successful; our great government. You hate America guys I don't understand. Your government has made you... try living in Haiti where the taxes are low and the government doesn't impose on your precious 'freedom'.
