There are no leftwing crooks. None I'm aware of anyway. California was totally robbed and hoodwinked by Bushie energy companies. That is proven, with hard evidence from the Enron case. See the movie "Enron". It's in that documentary. But the federal gov under Bush-Cheney refused to investigate any of the gas gouging, because they wre involved in it. Ed Gillespie was at the time PR frontman for Enron as well as working for Bush-Cheney. Enron paid 7 million for dishonest TV ads blaming the energy gouging on democrats. Then Bushies went after Grey Davis. It was all orchetrated and Cheney was probably the main organizer. This has to be thoroughly investigated (finally). Gasoline prices went up for one big reason, gouging. Because they knew the feds under Bush would never lift a finger to stop them. And remember Bushies include the Saudis and OPEC plus many of the top Wall Street energy brokers. They have the power to raise and lower prices and they have been doing it steadily, mainly rising them. There is all kinds of proof of this. Shell and BP are in the same club. Which is one reason the Brits joined us in Iraq. That invasion was mainly about oil.
