You equate government with USA? You can't be serious. Of course I'm serious. Look, everything you touch, every day, is regulated by government. Every piece of infrastructure in the country is build and maintained by government. The rule of law that allows our society to function is government. The USA is government... and it's our effective government that allows us to function better than other countries. Or do you think Americans are somehow inherently superior to people from other countries and that makes the difference (remember we're a nation of immigrants)? The 'hate government' movement is great at generalities... but weak when it comes to services they want to discontinue. DOT maintaining roads? Dept of Ag inspecting food? Military? DOS negotiating with other countries? Energy handling nuke waste? This stuff doesn't limit your freedom... it expands your freedom to do what you want and not have to worry if your next meal will kill you. You want freedom? Move to Haiti. Little or no infrastructure or regulation. Our governments do the best job of any governments in the world... and that's why we prosper.
