What if the rally is large enough so that us paper selling is not required?

This is a good point and I was thinking about it. The rally will go bust if the Jap Govt plays tricks with the market, IMO, because the Jap economic system is fragile. I think the market has a credible story from the Govt to buy this time. The Japanese will eventually unload less than $800 bil. Unless the yen firms up, export surplus is reduced and consumption rises, the Jap Econ System will not improve.

Incidentally the yen is firming up from being down by 38 to being positive 4 against the dollar now. This is quite an improvement.
But, the Japanese Govt must begin to sell US Treas. for the momentum in the Jap stock market.
